The Heart of England Judo Championships held in the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham is the biggest one-day competition in the British calendar. Kendal Judo Club members always seem to come back with medals from the event and this year was no exception. read more

Kendal Age Banded Open for Less Experienced Boys & Girls - October 25th

Kendal Judo Club are running a competition, Previously called the U10 / U12 Lakeland Open. The object of the event is to give the less experienced judo player a gentler introduction to judo competitions.
The players are weighed on the day and then taking their age, grade and experience are placed in pools of four or five to be fought off.

Michael Horley Selected for World Cup

Michael Horley has been selected for inclusion in the Great Britain Team to compete in this year's World Cup Championships to be held in Birmingham's National Indoor Arena in September.

Lakeland open on the internet

Kendal Judo Club member Adam Dixon took part in the Lakeland Open championships and ended up in an internet experiment.
His father, who usually accompanies him to many of his competitions, could not watch him this time, having to be at a Steam Gathering in the middle of a field near Lincoln. read more

110% Success at Lancashire Championships

Twenty members of Kendal Judo club went to Blackburn to take on the might of the Lancashire Judo Clubs and came back with twenty-two medals. In the Lancashire Open Championships Kendal always do well but this year's medal haul was the best for a long long while. What was different was that the majority of the medal winners were quite new to judo competition. read more
